MPPP will be organizing the 1st Penang "No Car Day".
Following the lastest meeting today; 1st, Dec, 2011, the MPPP has confirmed;
Everyone are invited to join provided you do not come with motorised vehicle. You can cycle, walk, jog, roller skate or even take the trishaws which will be parked at the event venue for you to ride
3000 t shirts will be available for participants and it is on a first come first serve basis. You can register on line or download the forms or collect the application forms from participating bicycle shops and bring the completed form along with you to the venue as below to collect you t shirts; Please take note even if you have registered or fill in the form, it does not mean, you are entitle to the t shirt as it is on a first come first serve basis. So be at the venue early to ensure you have a t shirt.
There will be 3 flags off; 1) 10 Km Beach St - Jelutong Expressway and back and Esplanade and back to Beach St; 2) 2 km, leisure ride in the car free zone; suitable for leisure and those with young children 3) Pedestrians/ Joggers/ Trishaws/ Roller skaters
Details of the event are as follow :-
Date : 11/12/11
Time : 630am - Collection of t shirts
700 am - Arrival of CM
730 am - Flag off for 10 Km ride
745 am - Flag off for 2 Km leisure ride
800 am - Flag off for pedestrian
Venue : In front of Immmigration Dept Office, Beach Street
Free registration.
1) Login, or create new member with us.
2) Signup at the event page.
3) Make sure you key in correct email, as you need to print out the signup confirmation email to claim your tshirt. (Chk your spam mailbox)

G Club Foldie Nite Ride - 28/10/11

From : Straits Quay, Penang
Route : Straits Quay > Island Plaza > Tg Tokong > Gurney Drive > Northam Rd > City Hall > Beach St > Church St > Jln Masjid Kapitan Keling > Carnavon St > Acheen St > Armenian St > Canon Sq > Acheen St > Beach St > Chulia St > Penang Rd > Burmah Rd > Pangkor Rd > Kelawei Rd > Tg Tokong > Island Plaza > Straits Quay.
Regroup Points:
1) In front of City Hall
2) Armenian St Basketball Court
3) In front of the old Majestic Cinema (Right after Police IPK, Pg Rd)
This will be the 2nd time G Club organizing Foldie Night Ride. We will ride from St Quay to Heritage area and back.
Bicycles shops will be joining us this time to display their fleet of foldies as well as accessories at St Quay Middle Court from 5.00pm
Registration is free . You can either register online via www.gclub.com.my or at selected bicycle shops.
1st 200 foldie owner will be entitled for lucky draw of which, at least 2 foldie will be up for grab as well as other prizes.
If you fail to sign up online or via bicycle shop (closing date 21/10/11, Friday) , on the spot registration can on event date be done but on "first come first serve" basis provided there are still slots available.
