Riding for fun, joy and for a cause..
We are a small group of friendly recreational cyclists in Penang, Malaysia. Our goal is simply to get more to cycle and to help make our roads safer for cyclists ! G Club?
Back in May 2009, a small group of us gathered at G Hotel for our first official ride to Teluk Bahang. Before flagging off, one of the cyclists suggested that we should be called G Club, after G Hotel, our first sponsor. Later G Hotel suggested that we should adopt the same 'g' as in their logo.
Since then we have organised many rides, including the epic RIDE WITH CM (Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng), and have also implemented bicycle road signs and bicycle emblems in Georgetown and Teluk Bahang.
We organise once-a-month ride to Teluk Bahang, night round-island ride, MTB off road rides, foldie rides and also other ad hoc rides. It's fun, it's exciting, it's free! so come join us by signing up as a member and participating in our rides! the more the merrier !!
