5th Full Moon Round Island Ride 18th Sept 2010
Dear members,
To all you night riding fans, the 5th Full Moon Ride is coming. Get your blinkers and lights ready because we are going for an exciting ride. We will be joining other riders in Bayan Baru.
Event : Full Moon Round Island Night Ride
Date : 27th March 2010 (Saturday)
Meeting Place 1: 1915hrs in front of Island Plaza (Tg. Tokong)
Meeting Place 2 : 2030hrs in front of Lim Bicycle shop (Merida) bicycle shop. (Bayan Baru)
Meeting Place 3 : 2100hrs in front of PUSPAKOM Teluk Kumbar.

Estimated duration : 4 - 5 hours
Distance : 72 km
Grading : 4 (due to the lack of lighting)
*Please register for the ride together with your phone number*
Pre-requisites :
1) Must be self sufficient i.e. (Spare tubes, pump, chain breaker)
2) Blinkers and good lighting is mandatory. (Front and back lights please)
3) Having a flourescent/reflective vest will be of advantage to visibility.
4) Must have experience riding round island AT LEAST ONCE.
5) Average speed on flat 20 - 25km/h
* Please note that there will be no Rela escorts. Riders join this ride at their own risk. Advise to ride in groups and keep to the group of your pace if you should fall behind. Also be prepared for a call for your backup in the event you cannot continue your ride. Safety is of primary concern.

As this ride is on a Saturday, I would like to point out of other factors i.e. (Mat Rempits) will be on the roads so be extra careful.
Most important : NO HELMET, NO RIDE

I will be out of town during the Full Moon ride as my friend is geeting married in KL and I have to be there. I will need someone to champion the ride from Island Plaza to Bayan Baru to meet the riders there.
Any takers?? If not then for those who join from Island Plaza, please make your way to Lim Bicycle in Bayan Baru to continue your ride.

Normally it takes about less than 30 minutes from Bayan Baru to Teluk Kumbar
Nightrider, I was planning to do the ride as my first Night Ride and will be leaving from Tanjung Bungah. I can meet everyone at Island Plaza and head down to Bayan Baru. I just need some guidance on location etc so maybe we can meet up and discuss?
