Congratulations G Club
Hi G'day,
This is gonna be the BIGGEST road cycling event in Penang or perhaps Malaysia. Kudos to the committee members and the sponsors. I am looking forward to enjoying my ride with fellow cyclists and hoping to contribute to the awareness campaign.
However, as previously mentioned in last year CFAL forum, I still think that the present SIGNAGE looks like a parking sign instead of a proper "SHARE THE ROAD" road sign. With the new budget, I hope G Club can look into it. I have been cycling the path every weekend since 2004 and truly appreciate your contributions.
Just my 2 cents, Cheers

Would love to make the signposts yellow in conformity with most countries but our signposts size, colour even what can be written on it etc are all govern by the city council. Unfortunately it may look like a parking sign but whatever little effect it has on motorists, we are grateful. Prior to putting them up, approval has to be obtained not only from the city council but also the engineering department. There are a lot of behind the scene bureacratic activities to put these signposts up. We must thanks the ROTARY CLUB OF TANJONG BUNGAH who are the one liasing and seeking approval and going around the road identifying the sites for the signposts with the state engineer !!!
many countries have changed their road signs to suit the modern motorists. The dinosaur aged road sign has to be changed so that the motorists can understand it in one glance. We have to convince the so-called authorities that the old "sign" is NOT WORKING. If Penang wanna be a modern international city, they have to challenge the status quo, think outside the box, be bold to do the right thing and move on. Putting up a road sign that is not working is a waste of public fund. Sorry if I sound a bit hash.
My warmest regards to you and your fellow committee
