I heard of them before. They are very active. Always on the road. covered long distance. They are very fast too i heard. Mostly racing bikse. Some of their bikes cost around RM20k. I really love their enthusiasm.
How do you do ? ha ha hah ....!! It's not about the bike. what a wonderful book. in that book, he meant off the bike. ...hehehe....hey i know what you meant ok. what you said is not wrong. Just, the bike has a lot, a lot to do also. if you're much stronger than the other guy, then even with a postman bicycle also you can go faster than him. imagine if you're just a little bit stronger. and he is having a better bike. it'll be a different story later. trust me. Janson button hardly won any race at all with Honda. Why is he winning almost every race now ? Ducati has been around a long time but it was Casey Stoner who brought back Ducati to it's height and to show the world it's potential. it is said that the Katana is the most deadly sword of all in the hand of a samurai. to some people it is useless. see my point ? so it's men and machine. and for a serious cyclist whose aim is to go fast and out do the rest. the bicycle matters very much.

BMW body, Kanchil engine, sure cannot lah. But for mere mortals like me, an ok bike will do...;) So far I am very happy with my Trek 1000 SL. So thanks for asking hehe.
The reason I used the book title is because when I posted about my current road bike on the Facebook, friends of mine told me that "it's not about the bike!" I think I have to agree with them. During my racing days, I have seen a lot of good riders smoking others with much better bikes on their heavily modded "racing" bike that was modified from the old clunkers.
Hello again. you got a point there. i agree to a certain extent. very true. This will be my last message on this topic. and i'd like to say perhaps we should also examine the reason why is there a need for technological advancement, study, and innovation ? are they not to make things better ? have we thought about why those engineers put their bikes in the wind tunnel ? and a team of clever people cracking their head over ? and many more testing and building. why is all the pro team, and all the professionals going for the edge? oh they really push it. Why do they spent so much money on R&D ? Why not the new professionals ride the bikes designed at the of the time of Bobet, Coppi and even Mercxx ? it's not a joke, these are tour winning bikes ? hell i bet no pro now would want to ride even the bikes of Greg LeMond. perhaps the reasons are abvious.
Certain uphill routes in the tour de france were not possible for rider to ride before. they can now because of technological advancement. I'll say this again, it's not only about the bike. and nothing fancy is going to happen if it's only aboutt he engine. In year 2001, BMW has the most powerful engine in the F1. They lost almost everything. just in this case, we can't blame the driver because their aerodynamic design is behind time.
Men and machine. They have to compliment each other. Then you got something. I know i can't win the tour even if i ride the bicycle of alberto contador.

To each his own, to each his own. The question about man and machine can go on forever and each camp will argue theirs is the best answer to this question of the century...:)
Enjoy your ride! I am going to map Penang hill trail this coming Sunday. Wish me luck, wish me luck!
Exploring new routes and taking risk in trying out unfamiliar places is part and parcel of adventure...tell us about your trip soon, wish you luck and ride safely !
