Xiamen round island (almost)
China is celebrating National day guóqìng jié 国庆节 from 1-8 Oct. Except for offices and factories almost everything else are business as usual.
Met Fred at the expat bar one afternoon, decided to join him for the ride round island the following morning.

Stopped by to have a drink at a kiosk next to the public beach
Reached the end of our ride, rested, took some pictures on this long white bridge. We turned back the way we came, rode 60-70 over km all in all. If not for the wind it was a perfect ride, really enjoyable.

The blue bicycle(Giant) in the pics. Is it yours or you're just renting it ? It's really beautiful.
I'm thinking of putting mud guard on my bicycle also. I just thought that the mud guard will be something sueful to have on my bicycle. it'll be great when the road is wet.

A cheapo Giant MTB but it served me well.
I bought it here but will leave it for my friend to use when I leave. If I come back to Xiamen again I would buy myself a better bike, probably a hybrid, with carrier bags, etc. When I'm better equipped I can then travel further south and west...
I am green with envy, that is life man .....

Well, cheap is good. i like all type of bicycle. cheap or expensive. it doesn't matter. if it served you well, it is a very good bicycle.
Must be very nice sitting there on the grass under the shade on the grass. catch you later.
I have been down with some mild food poisoning otherwise could be much nicer, yes. It is so much cooler now, you can cycle anytime during the day but the day gets shorter as winter draws nearer...
