"Share The Road with Cyclists" sign board
Greetings,
Kudos to G club, you guys have done so much in such a short time, awesome. I really appreciate your effort on the "campaign for a lane". I have been cycling the Tanjung Bungah ~ Pulau Betung or Round the Island route on Saturday morning ( solo ) since 2004. My missus wants me to be home before 11am to be my kids part time driver. I am a roadie using LOOK 595 Ultra. Perhaps, I may have bumped into you guys before.
Besides campaign for a lane, I hope we can get the authority to install the " Share The Road with Cyclists" road signs along the winding Mar Vista ~ Rasa Sayang and Titi Kerawang ~ Pulau Betung Stretch. The road signs can be seen in some cycling routes in the developed countries.
Having a lane without sufficient road signs to caution the drivers may not be effective. Let's make Penang a cyclists heaven.
Cheers

Ultimately we would want a dedicated Isolated bicycle path without motorised vehicle meandering among power pedal bicyclists. A bike lane or sign board as you hv suggested is a good first step. We would try to incorporated yr suggestion. Our Captain (Ronnie) has jus SMS me this morning that he is calling for quotation for the bicycle emblems and bicycle signs (to be attached to lamp post) along the Tlk Bahang stretch. Our main sponsor CIMB FOUNDATION is footing the bill.
Lets show the Pedal Power force on the 25/10/09 and demand our right to share the road.
Look368 and Captain,
How are you guys doing ? Congratulation to you all. You guys have got it. What daniel said is true, G club being the new kid on the block and the success of the ride with CM is truly amazing. From the bottom of my heart, I'm really happy for you all. You guys have put in a lot of hard work and it paid off.
What you people do for the bicyclist community is really wonderful. and i'm thankful for what you have done. This is not a simple task but with your passion in bicycling, you guys did good things. without a doubt, i'm sure G Club will continue strive to make the road a better place for all bicyclist. What the others couldn't achieved in years, you guys did it. you've reached the people and made awareness.
To all of you out there. If you happened to read this, or accidently got in here. Ride a bicycle. it's great for your soul. It doesn't matter what bicycle....an old bike or a mini bike. You don't need gears for your bicycle. You don't need fancy costume. Just put the air into your old rotten bicycle, and chase the wind. and ride on, be free.
MyCle.
it's not just me n look368 !!! it's the whole team.
lee, sifu, mike, diana, bee nah, kenny, tf lim, loon, tan, rotary tg bungah and all others. also not forgetting all the sponsors.
the numbers of hours we put in, meeting after meeting... it sometimes make me wonder how we managed to pull it thru.
the only thing left is the final preparation before the big ride on 25/10. we hope all will go well without much hiccups and if there is any, we hope the participants will try to accomodate us in any way possible.
safety and enjoyment are most important to us and we hope everyone will have a great cycling experience on that day.
looking forward to seeing all of you.
cheers, G Club
