That's the typical scenario when the cyclists are over pampered. They tend to behave like they own the road and that irritates the motorists. Unless, the group consists of cyclists of the same fitness level and have good commonsense, it is unwise to have a big group cycling together.
It is always important to choose the right time and place to do group cycling. Green Lane, Ayer Itam Jeletung and George Town will never be my top choice. Riding in single file can never go wrong !
Just my 2C

I can understand the sentiment of motorists in wantin to limit the groups because imagine trying to overtake a convoy of 50 riders. It is risky for the riders because the car will need a long stretch of straight road to overtake and pray there is no oncoming cars from the other sides!!!
but again our packs even if 40 are usually spread into heroes that wants to ride fast and makan angin riders who wants some morning air!!!
Maybe it might be a good idea to incorporate proper traffic ettiquette when cycling on the road in the workshops too. We can't be too careful.
Ya lets plan a bicycle workshop and safety and bicycle riding etiquette. Wonder who has the expertise to speak with authority. I am half past six and only riding for less than a year. Please anyone if you feel you are up to it let us know as we have some budget to organise a good workshop and need to organise one soon as in our sponsor's CIMB schedule. we need to organise one every 3 months
I feel qualified to speak on bicycling and health , nutrition and how body respond to extreme bicycling as in FAST round island ride where we push our heart rate to 80 or 90% of our maximum heart rate or anything related to health with bicycling or in acute trauma emergency first aid treatment etc etc but probably way under qualified to talk on technical aspect of bicylce. If you guys are interested I can prepared a presentation on that.
Any comment please.
1. Bicycling and Health by your goodself
2. Bicycle Workshop and Safety by Sifu and Turbosnail.
On top of that if we can organize a talk/video on MBT basic, safety and skill would be great.
Me???
But, but, but.......
