New fella
Hello everyone. I'm new here, though not new to cycling. I've been cycling for the past 2 years but mainly on my own. Its been really boring (cycling by myself) so my cycling sessions have been few and far between lately.
I hope to make new friends and cycling buddies during the rides. I understand that the next session will be on 10/1/2010, right? Hopefully I'll be able to join all of you good fellas out there. And since I am new to this group, I hope I won't be snubbed at, ha ha. Just kidding. I'm sure you guys are friendly good people.
Btw, somebody mentioned something about night rides. Now I am very interested in that as I simply could not find time to ride during the day (on weekdays at least). I once rode at the Butterworth Outer Ring Road on a Friday nite but due to time constraints, that has been the one and only nite ride for me ever since.
Well, see ya soon.

Hi all. First of all, thanks for the short welcoming. Secondly, and unfortunately, I don't own a road bike, just a mountain bike (though I plan to get one, soon as I figure out where to store the new bike in the house-space is a premium and the Missus won't let me clutter the house with another bike!). However, I am game to join any roadies on any of their rides, if they will let me and provided they don't leave smokin in their trails due to the fast nature of their bikes.
Nightrider, do inform me of your night rides. I am definitely interested. I just hope you ride a mountain bike otherwise I'll be playing catch up all nite long. I am fully equipped for a nite ride and I stay in Jelutong (along the expressway) so I guess since you mentioned that you ride all the way to queensbay, I could just "hop on" the ride as you pass by. Email me and I will provide you my contact no.
Last but not least, thanks again to all the regulars here and I look forward to riding with all of you good people out there.
p/s: The Malakoff ride, I don't I would be able to join as if i understand correctly, only roadies are allowed to join the ride. Guess I'll just stick to my usual Jelutong-Teluk Bahang route. Anybody care to join me?
Adzha, if you are worried about playing catch up with the roadies, why don't you join us for MTB ride tomorrow to Gertak Sanggul.
Check out the event board for details. Hope to see you.
p/s. looks like roadies and mtb groups canvassing for riders to join !!! *grin*
Dear adzha11,
The ride to teluk bahang tomorrow is not restricted to road bikes only. It's just if you have a road bike or a MTB with semi/slick tyres, it will make your ride easier and more relaxing.
I believe you're most welcome to join us tomorrow for the ride. Get to meet the gang and discuss on the night rides as well.
Regards,
nightrider
Dear adzha11,
WOW! Looks like GClub is attracting more seasoned riders already...
My night rides are normally ad hoc and starts 8 to 9pm. Route from Tg Bunga to Queensbay Mall in Bayan Baru. Currently adhoc as I will go out with my bike when I reach home from work. I will try to post it up 1 to 2 days beforehand next time if there are parties interested. I would advise riders who are interested to wear a flourescent vest and also equip their bikes with front and back blinkers so we remain very visible to traffic. Brain bucket cannot be compromised as I WILL NOT RIDE WITH RIDERS WHO DO NOT WEAR HELMET even much so during the night.
Come join us during the 3rd Jan ride (Post Malakoff) and we can delve much deeper into this.
If you are interested, do let me know ok?
Best regards,
nightrider :)
So I believe you're a roadie? Can join us this coming Sunday. I am joining a group of roadies and my friends from Singapore for an easy pace ride to Fruit farm and back. You can find the details at the following link: http://www.pbb.com.my/node/626
Btw, I practice no helmet no ride policy. Do wear your brain bracket when join our rides..:)
