Betong to Penang ride
I got a lift to Betong, Thailand from a friend a couple of days ago. Took my racer with me (my racer could go in the back of the car without dismantaling the wheels), cycled around in Betong and also met up with the bicycle shop owner Ming. Then I decided to ride back to Penang.

No one, just me and my shadow !
Started 8.30am reached home in Pulau Tikus 3pm. I had to stopped at least 4 times to rest as the stretch between Kupang and Lunas was hot and honestly quite boring. The distance was almost the same as going to Alor Setar, 93 km to be exact (But sign board says 103km from Keroh!)
When I was at Ming's shop one evening a die hard cyclist said that he will be cycling with a few of his members from Betong to Penang on the 4th July 2009. They will be staying in Wardorf hotel. While in Penang they hope to cycle round island. I believe this is a good opportunity for G Club to meet up and quanxi with them..??
Note: Cycling from Betong is much easier than to cycle to Betong because Keroh (Penggalan Hulu) and Betong is higher.

The 11 Betong riders (View photo on the left) went round island by themselves and they said the scenaries were beautiful. They would like to come back in October to "Ride with CM" !!
BTW is there a MTBs (Mountain Bikes) track up Penang hill? They asked me I wasn't sure.
