Would you believe it, there were 3 foldies on that night ! Quite an amazing feat for the young Thomas with his new foldable Dahon to be able to keep up with the pack in front ! His bike had only 3 gears(?) and it was his first time round island ! I think there were a few other first timers too. Perhaps it was the fear of being left behind in the dark that pushed all of us to 'ride for our life!' haha ! Thumbs up to all !

Guys, there is only one word to describe the experience... AWESOME!!! The night ride was totally different from day rides. The weather was very cooling and as we passed Sg. Ara heading to Teluk Kumbar, the traffic was fantastic. Very few cars and we also got a few motorists and passerbys cheering our riders along the way! It must be a novelty seeing a whole group of 18 cyclists going on a ride with all the bling-bling flickering all in a stretch.
The climb was a bit daunting for me as I was on my roadie. I must remember to buy a bright 10LED front light if I were to go again. The road leading to Balik Pulau was extremely dark. Luckily I had Stingray and ah leong to help me shine the road ahead. Uneven roads usually seen in the day are invisible to the eye there with lack of light. Had to ride very carefully. Going down hill from Bukit Genting was also challenging due to the absence of light.
Posh66 was the backup car and led us all the way. The pace was very good except for the hitches due to broken chain and a puncture. That's where the skills learnt at the workshops come in very useful.
Finished my journey being the first to stop at 1:30am. Rain started pouring in at around 1:45. Wonder if the rest got a wet ride back....

Dear Daniel,
Sorry for the late reply Dan as i'm busy working and not much time to go online as well. Yes i do took few of our nightride photos but most of the photos quite blur because i took it when i was cycling. I believe you are the one who took the most photos of us . Well Dan, is nice to ride with you and no doubt that at your age you are energertic, strong and good personality too! Cheers!

webster,
There might be a problem on these nights as there are a lot of Mat Rempits during these times. It can be dangerous when we ride on these nights. Sunday is the most conducive as there are no holidays the next day. The purpose of the ride is so that all the riders can ride in a safe environment and yet have fun while doing it! :)
Rolling down the hills at over 40kph in darkness is absolute fun ! As you whiz pass corners and race down straight slopes, you tell yourself that so long as your wheel is still on the road, you should be really grateful ! If theres a big stone or a pot hole in front, there would be no time for you to react ! But when your adrenalin is high and everyone is enjoying it, you just frolic and have fun !!
That's all the picture I had. Sorry some of the photos are not too clear - my Minolta camera is not as good as my previous Canon. Anyway, if you have pictures to upload, please be my guest. I believe Daniel Lee has lots of candid photos to show us !
I really wish to thank everyone, especially the leader (oops da lupa nama !), Ray and Nightrider for this fantastic ride. Thanks all round, thumbs up, great company tonight !
I will leave Nightrider or Ray or any other volunteers to write the stories of tonight's unforgetable ride....over to you guys, good night. It's 3.11 am now, cheers !

Hey Daniel, you must have some pictures to upload, no? You're a special user now and should be able to do a few extra things that a normal user can't.
Glad to meet up with the young, energertic and strong Daniel ! Cheers !
