Perth
This trip back to Oz was more of a bike-related finding trip. I was more interested in looking for signs which may be applicable to Penang. (Might be applicable but might not be do able ).
Landing into Perth, watching the glorious sunrise is always one of my simple pleasures in life. (I am easily pleased
).

Just to whet your appetites............Lunch at Cicerrelo's, a very popular seafood restaurant.

One of the most common signs you will see on bike paths

The bike lane is almost as large as a normal car lane

Cycling around the Canning River is very peaceful and quiet with lots of wild life.

Having a little chat with daughter in Brisbane

Perth's famous Swan River. Blue skies, beautiful weather........

Park on one side with a bike trail.

That's Burswood Casino. In Perth, no gambling machines are allowed, except at the Casino, unlike the Eastern States where you can find them in almost every suburb which has any sporting or RSL Clubs.

Emblems on a shared bike/pedestrian path

From Barrack Street Jetty, looking across to King's Park, which is behind those condos. You can barely make out some cyclists just under the green road sign.

Popular rest stop for cyclists in South Perth.

Bike parking at a rest area.

This is actually a spiral bike path which allows you to go up to a bridge to cross from one side of the freeway and down to the other side.

Resting area. In the far distant, where the skyscrapers is Perth City, where we had just come from.

This is a purpose-built bike/pedestrian bridge, built below a bridge. Excellent to ride on. No cars, no sun, beautiful scenery. (Couldn't take photo of the river as the sun was in the wrong place).

We were only in Perth for a week and only managed to cycle for about three days. We hope to do more next time we are there.

Looks like Australia has been turned to a bike friendly country. Great pictures there Diana.
