My holiday trekking in Cameron Highlands
While taking my son for his school holiday in Cameron Highlands, I decided to to go for a "short" walk, which I ended up tracked 11km in total distance. You can view my Everytrail profile of this walk at http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=541322

We started the hike in morning. Fatt is my highschool buddy. He brought his family to CH for school holidays too. Seen here is the trail to Path 13, no thanks to the development and progresses in Tanah Rata! The total distance of path 13 would more than 13km if it were taken care of. We ended up tracked only 2km.

A view of the trail. This is a mountain biking haven if the trail were still intact.

We punctured out at a chilli farm. The remaining 200m or so trail is not accessible anymore.

My highschool buddy, Fatt aka Rubber Knight, a mountain biking veteran.

A view of the river at Tanah Rata town. Crystal clear water. Nice!

We walked back to where we stay at KRS Pines. Seeing here is the Cool Point Hotel. It looks nice but bad reviews on tripadvisor.com!

We called it day after the hiking on Path 13. After I took my family for breakfast, I decided to continue my walk in Tanah Rata. This time, I picked Jln Tengkolok. According to my GPS map, it should puncture out at Brinchang. It started to rain too. I was already 1/3 of my way so I decided to continue.

Bungalows on the way. There are hardly any motorized traffic on road. Idea for family ride outing if weather were good.

This is where the road started to declined. Excellent view but spoilted by incessant throwing of garbage here!

Stumbled upon road kill on my way. This could be a blind snake.

Another blind snake that became a victim of road kill.

The bulding at far view is the Meteology Station of Cameron Highlands. It's still under contruction.

After about 45 minutes of walking, I finally punctured out at the Dahlia Villa apartment. From here I had to walk another 45 minutes or so back to Tanah Rata. The total distance travelled is about 9km.
I took a mental note that this could be a nice place for family ride event. Will recce more in my next trip to CH!
