11pm to Teluk Bahang !
Thomas wanted to cycle round island and I thought to myself 'hey, if one of us had a tire puncture or a broken chain, we could still be cycling along green lane 5am in the morning!" So we finally had to contend with just Teluk Bahang.
Really, my hats off to Thomas and the 3 other young die hard cyclists ! Thomas was on a dahon foldie but he cycled as if he was on a racer ! Anson was using a nice minivelo and his friend on MTB, both cycled lapping each other, leaving us way behind ! And our hero of the night Wade(Yang) was on a FIXED GEAR MASI, WITH NO BRAKES !! A Zen on wheels !
Know how hard it is to go on a fixed gear and no brakes to T Bahang and up to the dam ??? It's damn, damn hard man !! I tried using his bike when we were back in Gurney drive, its not funny, you have to be lucky to be back in one piece ! The only way to brake is to apply backward thrust to the pedal. And in emergency you literally have to jump off the bike !!!!
ps: Sorry I did not bring my camera along, so no photos, all pictures are from the net...

Looks like night riding is catching on! Now you know how wonderful it feels while riding at night. The lack of heat and the very cool night breeze is perfect for cycling.
