Metric Century ride on Penang island. 0800 hours, 18 April 2010
18/4/ 08:00
Yeah, yeah. I was supposed to be in CH now. But due to some last minute schedule changes, I am here and my wife is enjoying my 200 horse six potter lau pok car now...:(
Anyway, I am thinking of doing metric century tomorrow. Meet at the bus station at Tanjung Tokong(just right after the Gurney junction). Route: TBA. We will decide on that day.
Distance: Chris and I will try to achieve 100km(that's what Metric Century means!).
All roadies and MTB-ers on slick are welcome!
Btw, sorry for the late announcement. I have been busy!

keep up the mileage! turbo, the UCI (united cyclists ipoh) hit 212km per day (they went almost to changkat jering via Sayong) on 18th april as following monday is a public holiday for Perak.
I am working on that(though not that extreme). You will see some metric and imperial century weekend rides coming out soon! Do watch out for updates!
Hello Fudge, long time no hear, howdy??
Did any cycling lately? Should join us in the coming round island night ride Saturday 29 May 2010. There will be more ladies riding this time and I am sure we will beat our last record of 58 riders!
1 May 2010 there will be another ride organised by Kah Kean but without G Club's involvement cos Nightrider, Daniel Lee and Ray are busy. So that's why there's little mention of this ride in GClub site. Come lah join us ! Hope to see you soon....
thanks for the invite, the timing for night rides doesn't suit my schedule. do enjoy the ride and be safe, all ladies must have at least 2 bodyguards flanking formation.
Met Chris at the bus stand as mentioned. We started the ride at 8am. Met ST Chia of KOTRT on the way up to Fruit Farm. By the time we are half way down, we decided to cut short the ride distance since Chris would like to be home by 12 noon. We had a short R&R at the Pantai Aceh coffee shop and some Kodak moments.
Met few fellow cyclists as well on the way up. Regrouped at 800m to get to know acquainted to the new found friends. They were from Butterworth and infact the ride leader, Eric Ooi is already in my FB friend list! Glad to meet him in person. He would be doing Interstate as well! *sigh* wish I could join.
We regroup again at Caltex Teluk Bahang for the much needed refreshment refill. I spoke to Eric for the possible planning more road rides in Butterworth since MKH ride is held in Kulim and might be inconvient for some to join.
Chris and I parted at the Gurney Drive traffic light junction. I continued my way to Prai Garden home.
87.08km clocked on my GPS(excl ferry ride both ways). Since this is also an easy ride for me, moving average: 20.4kmh.
