Labor Day Road ride, 0715hours, 02 May 2010

Since I pulled out from IS2010 due to my wrist injury and not going for the Kulim Burung Hantu Ride too, I am thinking maybe an easy road ride during the labor day's break. Anyone who are thinking of doing a road ride during the weekend are welcome to join me.
Meeting point: Mcdonald's Sunrise Tower (N5°26.397' E100°18.492') at 0715hours or
Bagan Jermal Bus Stop, Tanjung Tokong (N5°26.425' E100°18.451', before Bagan Jermal Fire Station if you come from Gurney traffic junction) at 0730hours
Route: Gurney - Tg Bungah - Tlk Bahang - Balik Pulau - Pondok Upih - Pulau Betong and back
Distance: Targeting 100km(that's what Metric Century means!).

i will be riding with a friend who will be doing his first round island. probably will not do the pulau betong leg and just turn back when reach balik pulau.
Cool, hope to meet you along the way. There will be able 8 roadies joining the ride.
Nine riders showed up, which majority were from Butterworth.
Amongst nine riders, three of us decided to do a longer loop. Adren and Chris managed to clocked 100km upon reaching home. I stopped at Pulau Tikus and clocked 87km.
Someone told me that mileage on MTB if converted to roadie mileage it should be in a factor of three. Considering I did 44km yesterday on my old trusty Diamondback, I have clocked a total 219km for two days. Of course, can't beat doc's 240km in one day trip to Hatyaai. My hats off to him!
