Glasses is individual preference and also pending on budget... The HW shop is one of the best choice for those off roads. Drop them during a fast ride downhill no prob can always get a new one... I have all the HW, Radar Path and Jaw Bone. I like the Jaw Bone with vented lens than the radar path as it fogs lesser...
Hi CarismaGT,
Thanks for your input.
Now, radar path came with vented lens.
I just bought one for USD180 only.
Thanks,
Edwin Tan
I am wearing prescribed glasses and I honestly find fit-over glasses the most practical. It's cheap and fully protects your eyes from flying debri and insects especially when you are going downhill at 40kph! The best part is if you lose it, buy another 2 more !
Hi there,
I have used Oakley M Frame since 2004 and got myself the Jaw Bone early this year. The latter came with spare lenses which are quite useful if you go cycling while the sky is not bright enough.
Focus Point in GP offers some discount, not sure if the offer is still on.
If you have friends in the State, you may wanna ask them to help. It's a lot cheaper there.
Cheers

hi G'day Edwin,
Oakley stick to your face like a pair of gloves. Very comfortable. The worst thing you want when cycling on high speed, against strong head wind or cross wind or down hill, and your shades can't hold up and fly off.
Most importantly, the frame and arms won't break into sharp objects which can cause serious injury. The lenses are top notch.
Go for it if budget is not an object.
Cheers
SK
Hi Eskay Yeoh,
Thanks for the input! Do you own any Oakley sunglasses? Of course budget is a factor too.
The price for Oakley Radar Path is RM1200 ( discount to ~RM1000) at Queenbay Mall.
Thanks,
Edwin
Hi all , found this link for Oakley Sunglasses price http://www.funsportz-oakley.blogspot.com/ . Use it as price guide .
Hi JWbiker,
Thanks a lot! The price is relative low compare to Gurney & Queenbay Mall!
Could it be imitate? Will check it out!
Thanks,
Edwin
Hi guys , wanna ask you all because i wear spectacle and cannot see quite distance things so hope the spectacle can attach to the sunglasses , any sunglasses with this ability ?
Hi Jwbiker,

Good luck,

I have been wearing this "fit over" sunglasses, cheap and good ! If you're wearing prescribed glasses, no problem, just wear over it, no need to remove your glasses.
King's Divisa KY213.
I use above for my MTB and evening road rides. Scratching proof and UV ray protected lens and cost fractions of the price I paid for my Oakley Zero!
Can be found at major HW stores. But do beware of imitations.

Hi Turbosnail,
Thanks for sharing.
Seem like is safety glasses rather than sunglasses right?
Thanks,
Edwin
Yes they are and they conform to the same International Standards as the Oakleys too, if you wonder.
The lens are quite tough. Not a den or scratch on surface so far!!
Turbosnail, look like not bad huh!
How much you bought the King's Divisa KY213?
Which shop in Penang is selling King's shades?
But Oaklley has below advantages:-
- High Defination glasses - super clarity exceeds all ANSI Z87.1 standards
- Anti glare & harmful blue light
- Repel sweat, rain & skin oils
- Filter out 100% of all UV
- Real athetes sport sunglasses product.
- ......
Any comment and discussion are welcome.
I am still looking for a good cycling sunglasses for myself.
Thanks,
Edwin
I got my first pair for RM9(left them at a regroup point when waiting during an MTB ride). My second for RM16. Yes, Sixteen Ringgits, enam belai ringgit...:) They complied with the same ANSI Z87.1 as Oakley....:)
Filter our UV and blue ray too since the primary useage of this lens are for eye short protection from weldings. KY218 is amber lens and provide the same function of any amber lens sport shades.
I got mine from one of the major HW store in BM. Yes people will either laugh their pants off or they wonder if you were putting some unknown hightech lenses when they see you wearing one(I don't care anyway). I did get other riders asked me if they were from Bolle or Oakley...;)
Still nothing beats a pair of black iridium lens Oakley sport glasses under afternoon sun. I prefer my Oakley Zero when sunlight become too glaring. Haven't tried other King's shade models though. I am sure they are as good as they claimed.
hi turbosnail,
Which HW store in BM has the glasses? Plan to get one.
You should be able to get them from any hardware stores. I got mine from the one in Bandar Perda, opposite to the Petronas gas station. Name's Teong Lee if I were not mistaken.
