One of our member, Darren was injured while out cycling last night by a car.
Details of the vehicle are as follow :-
Model : Mercedes Benz E Class
Color : Silver

If any of you do know the owner of the above vehicle, please let us know.
Meanwhile, be careful out there while cycling on the road.

i believe one shud be able to retrieve car owner details from JPJ with the car registration no. together with a small fee & supporting documents like the police report. workshop runners can do it too.
Yes, should do it. This is not about revenge but crucially to drive home the point that cyclists too have the rights to the road and that he should be civic conscious enough to at least stop and assist the victim. After all our campaigns for a lane, etc, are about safety and to see a chap just drove away after knocking someone down is just not right and going against what we stand for! Getting this chap to at least apologise is the right thing to do. For the sakes of other cyclists, don't let up !
Is he in serious condition? I believe a police report is made. Whereabout did it happen?
This is terrible, we should highlight this. Hit and run is dead serious and the culprit is in hot soup if his number is recorded even if he report to the police within 24 hours, he is in serious dilemma. I am willing to chip in to get a good legal eagle to nail this chap.
BTW, my E class is Cuban Brown and is PGY. so it is not me...
Darren "landed" in the drain !!! Front tire ripped. Bruises on his leg !!
Apparently a car and a motorbike who witnessed the accident gave chase but the car just sped away. Believe he is drunk.
Police report lodged.
it is better to let the police look for the culprit.
don't get us wrong, we are not looking for him to seek "revenge".
but if he is someone that we know, we would like him to go make a police report as well as "hit & run" is pretty serious. if given the opportunity, we would like to ask him to be careful in future and repect cyclist who has the same right on the road
